When family life feels like a struggle …
When you’re overwhelmed and exhausted from carrying the weight of parenting, work, and relationships, it can feel like you’re stuck in an endless loop. No matter how many books you read, podcasts you binge, or Instagram posts you save, the same triggers keep pulling you back. You thought life would be different—more connection, more support—but instead, you feel alone in holding everything together. The kids don’t listen, your partner doesn’t seem to notice how much you do, and the home you dreamed of creating feels more stressful than joyful. This feels more like the family you grew up in, not the one you dreamed of creating.
Sound familiar …
Your house is noisy, chaotic, full of demands, and you often feel like screaming.
You manage schedules, meals, and everyone’s emotions, but underneath it all, you’re burnt out and running on fumes.
You catch yourself snapping over small things, and the guilt hits hard, making you question if you’re failing your family.
You hear yourself yelling empty threats that you won’t enforce, but you are so desperate to be heard.
You’ve asked your partner for help, but they either shut down or don’t understand, leaving you feeling shut out and alone.
Resentment builds as you wonder why you’re the only one holding everything together.
You miss the version of yourself who had time for hobbies, and friends, but when you think about taking time for yourself, the guilt kicks in.
You worry everything will fall apart if you step away, even for a moment.
Hey, I’m Cate,
I’m a therapist, mom of two, and someone who deeply understands how motherhood can bring old wounds to the surface. Even after nearly a decade of personal healing, I was blindsided by postpartum anxiety and OCD when my first daughter was born. As she grew, I found myself repeating familiar patterns from my own childhood—only this time, I was the adult. I ended many days feeling burnt out, frustrated, and questioning whether I was doing enough for my family—or myself.
I work with moms who feel overwhelmed by the constant mental load and emotional weight of trying to “do it all” - parenting, work, and relationships, all while trying to breaking free from the generational trauma they don’t want to pass down to their kids. Together, we’ll heal the attachment wounds keeping you stuck, build practical tools to help you feel more grounded, and create the balance and connection you’ve been searching for.

Mom guilt is something many of my clients struggle with. In therapy, we’ll explore where those feelings come from, challenge unrealistic expectations, and help you develop self-compassion. You’ll learn how to give yourself the same grace and understanding you give your kids.

Taking radical responsibility means recognizing the dynamics in your relationship and understanding what you can and cannot control. If your partner isn’t offering the support you need, therapy can help you develop the self-awareness, communication skills, and confidence to advocate for yourself. Together, we’ll work on transforming those dynamics and creating a more supportive partnership—or finding new ways to meet your needs.
